The working principle of solenoid valve is that there is a sealed chamber in the solenoid valve, with through holes opened in different directions, each hole leading to a different oil pipe. The center of the chamber is the valve, and there are two electromagnets on both sides. The magnetic coil on which side is energized will attract the valve body to which side. By controlling the movement of the valve body, different oil discharge holes will be blocked or leaked out, while the oil inlet hole is normally open. Hydraulic oil will enter different oil discharge pipes, and then the oil pressure will push the piston, which in turn moves the piston rod, and the piston rod moves the mechanical device. By manipulating the current of the electromagnet in this way, mechanical motion is controlled.

For example, in the case of self flow, zero pressure starting is required, which means that after being powered on, the entire coil will suck up the gate body.

And for solenoid valves with pressure conditions, after the coil is energized, it sucks out a pin inserted into the valve body and uses the pressure of the fluid itself to lift the valve body up.

The difference between these two methods is that the solenoid valve in the self flowing state has a larger volume because the coil needs to suck up the entire gate body, while the solenoid valve in the pressurized state only needs to suck up the pin, so the volume can be made smaller.
