TMT 470 Hydraulic Orbit Motor

477.3 cm³/rev with 1,760 N·m of continuous torque - the strongest continuous rating in the middle of the TMT range, for machines that need pushing force from the first turn of the wheel.

Why the 470 is often the right compromise

Travel speed and pushing force pull in opposite directions on any hydrostatic drive. The 470 cc frame sits where the two are still balanced: a 400 does not always hold enough torque in a hard push, while a 500 adds displacement without adding much torque, and gives up part of the pressure envelope. Sizing at 470 keeps the machine's maximum pressure available for the moments that need it.

The motor itself follows the TMT family pattern: low-speed, high-torque orbital design, constant torque over a wide speed range, high starting torque and high permitted return pressure. Typical duties are propel circuits on compact loaders and drum or rotor drives on trenchers and harvesters, in open or closed loop systems.
