D1P160 High Power Piston Pump – 160cc

Up to 400 L/min in the same SAE D envelope as the D1P130 and D1P145.

400 L/min max flow 2,500 rpm max speed
01
Product Overview

Danfoss introduced the 160 cm³ D1P160 to close the flow gap between the 145 and 193 sizes, and the pump delivers up to 400 L/min from a 2,500 rpm input - positioned by Danfoss as the most power-dense 160 cc pump on the market.

Because it shares the SAE D envelope of the D1P130 and D1P145, machine builders can step up displacement without redesigning the pump compartment. Control options include electronic displacement control with manual override, MTC, load sensing and pressure compensation, keeping the new size easy to tune into existing architectures.

UPGRADE NOTE Running a D1P130 or D1P145 today? The D1P160 occupies the same mounting envelope, so the displacement increase is a project conversation - verify porting, coupling and control with us before changing.

FAQ
1. When was the D1P160 introduced?

Danfoss Power Solutions added the 160 cm³ size to the D1P portfolio in October 2024 to serve applications between the 145 and 193 cm³ classes.

2. Does it fit where a D1P145 is installed?

The 160 cm³ pump shares the SAE D envelope of the D1P130 and D1P145. Mounting geometry is consistent; porting and coupling should be verified for each machine.

3. What flow does it produce?

Theoretical flow reaches 352 L/min in standard form and up to 400 L/min at 2,500 rpm with the impeller-boosted build.

4. Which controls are available on the new size?

Electronic displacement control with manual override, mechanical torque control, load sensing and pressure compensation are all offered, matching the family control platform.

5. Is it a good upgrade for an older machine?

For machines already on the 130/145 envelope it is a candidate - the displacement gain comes without a frame change, but the full circuit review should be done first.

6. Why is configuration advice important for this size?

Because the size is recent, application data is still accumulating. Matching control, boost and shaft options to your duty cycle avoids rework on a new build.

7. Can it run with PVG 128/256 valves?

Yes. The D1P family is engineered for PVG 128/256 spool valves, giving precise machine movement across the 160's full flow range.

8. What should I send for a quotation?

Send the target flow, working pressure, duty cycle and, if available, your current pump part number - we will recommend the build and confirm availability.

Considering the D1P160 for your next build or upgrade? Send your flow, pressure and duty cycle - we will recommend the configuration before you order.
